Well, Molina has been on the road for one week now. She is happy, and received her first blister the other day. Her dad and Uncle Allan are taking very good care of her!

I know it has been sometime since I posted any updates on our fundraising. Our family has been swamped with packing, fundraising, working. We are leaving the village today. Last night we had a great send off for Molina - the community came together and had a potluck dinner and wished her well.

So, we have met and beat our initial goal of $3500 by approximately $1000. Thank you so much to all the overwhelming support! The initial goal of $3500 was to cover basic costs of Molina's travel, food & accommodations for herself and a chaperone. However, we are continuing our fundraising efforts to cover additional costs, i.e. tent, sleeping bags, quality socks, return travel. She has also gained an additional crew member to walk with her. Molina will now be accompanied by both her dad, and her uncle.

Fundraising Efforts on the home front...
We are planning a fundraising event this weekend. It will start with a Chinese Food dinner, followed by a Bingo and Loonie Toonie Auction.

Woohoo, we are at 56% towards our fundraising goal!

Molina has been working hard with fundraising and building up her daily exercise so she is prepared for the Migration walk.

She has earned $50 making notice deliveries within the community. Also, she has been selling 50/50 tickets.
